Privacy Policy

Overview

Puka is operated by Abundant Apps Studio. This policy explains how Puka handles information when you use the app, website, waitlist, and support services. We do not sell personal information or use it for cross-app advertising.

Information we process

• Your Apple account identifier and, when provided, name or relay email.
• Dog profiles, including sensitivities, allergies, and preferences you enter.
• Product or food photos, clarification text, and generated analysis results.
• Subscription status, scan usage, support requests, and security logs.
• Waitlist email and optional dog name when you choose to join.

How we use information

We use information to authenticate accounts, personalize analysis, process scans, enforce free and paid access, prevent abuse, restore purchases, answer support requests, improve reliability, and comply with law.

AI processing and service providers

Photos and clarification text are compressed and sent securely to our backend and AI service provider to produce an analysis. Supabase provides authentication, database, and backend infrastructure. OpenAI provides AI analysis. These providers process information on our instructions to deliver Puka. Do not upload unrelated personal information.

Raw scan photos are used for the request and are not stored in your scan history by Puka.

Retention

• Account and subscription records: until account deletion, subject to legal retention.
• Dog profiles and scan results: stored locally on your device until you clear them or remove the app.
• Completed scan-usage records and operational logs: generally up to 12 months.
• Failed or abandoned scan reservations: generally up to 30 days.
• Raw scan photos: request duration only; not persisted in scan history.
• Purchase evidence: as needed for entitlements, accounting, fraud prevention, or law.
• Support requests: generally up to 12 months after the request is resolved.

Your choices and account deletion

You can clear local history, sign out, or request account deletion in Puka. Account deletion removes server-side account data subject to limited legal retention. Deleting Puka does not cancel an Apple subscription; manage that separately in your Apple account.

Security and international transfers

We use access controls, encryption in transit, and restricted service credentials. No system is completely secure. Providers may process data in countries outside your own, subject to their safeguards and applicable law.

Children

Puka is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
